World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2023 Closes

The World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2023, with the theme of "Connecting the World, Generating the Future", closed in Shanghai on the afternoon of 8 July. Wu Jincheng, Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, said at the closing ceremony that the conference docked 210 upstream and downstream enterprises, reached an intentional procurement amount of 11 billion yuan, and promoted the signing of 32 major industrial projects with a total investment of 28.8 billion yuan.

The 3-day congress accumulated more than 1,400 guests, the exhibition area of more than 50,000 square metres, a total of 133 thematic forums, as of 3 p.m. on the 8th, the number of offline visitors exceeded 177,000 people.

The number of exhibitors and exhibition area of this years conference is the largest ever, covering four major sectors: core technology, intelligent terminals, application empowerment, and cutting-edge technology, with more than 400 exhibitors and more than 30 new products in the first exhibition.

At the closing ceremony, Shanghai released the "mould" initiative, released the main points of large model innovation and development policy, and signed three batches of artificial intelligence projects. Among the key points of the big model innovation and development policy, three plans were put forward to crack the development bottleneck, namely, the big model innovation support plan, intelligent arithmetic acceleration plan, and demonstration application promotion plan.
